Col. Shana Peck - Texas Safety Specialist and Military Veteran

A safety and risk management professional with experience in both military and civilian settings, Col. Shana Peck served as an operations division safety specialist at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, where she conducted safety training, facility inspections, and compliance monitoring for local, state, and federal regulations. Col. Shana Peck's work at Texas Tech included identifying hazards and recommending corrective action.

During her military service, Col. Peck held positions including chief of staff, brigade commander, and operations officer, overseeing safety programs for organizations with up to 15,000 personnel. She was responsible for the safe handling of ammunition, tactical missile systems, and other resources, and for maintaining compliance with established safety standards. Her work involved direct engagement with teams, regular inspections, and implementation of preventive measures.

Col. Shana Peck earned a master of arts in strategic studies from the Air War College in Montgomery, Alabama, and a bachelor of arts in Spanish from the University of West Florida in Pensacola. She supports a scholarship fund through Bold.org and is an active member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the Association of the United States Army, and the Air Defense Artillery Association. Col. Peck’s personal interests include traveling internationally, attending baseball games, reading, candle-making, cooking, and golf.
